Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, meaning you have 30 days from the date of receipt to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be unused and in its original condition, with all original packaging and hardware included. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
To initiate a return, contact us at info@basementlightingcompany.com. If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions for packaging and shipment. For returns due to defect or damage, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. We will work quickly to make it right.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Custom or special-order fixtures
- Items that have been installed, hardwired, or modified
- Cut-to-length wiring or cable
- Sale items and gift cards
- Traditional Light Bulbs

Exchanges
To exchange an item, return it using the process above and place a new order for the replacement. This is the fastest way to get the right product to you.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval status. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the credit. If 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you have not received it, contact us at info@basementlightingcompany.com.
